    Very good

Good location, friendly staff, very clean, good bar to watch the Canucks, handy parking lot, pretty small room but if you're just looking for a bed for the night, it was great (but a little pricy)

    Fabulous

very convenient location, not so expensive, and cozy room.

pretty much noisy. but can ignore.

Front desk staff were completely unfriendly, we d had a long journey and walked a good distance in very hot temperatures and the staff were completely unfriendly, at that point in our day they could have made it a far more enjoyable experience.

There was a male who worked at the front desk who was not friendly at all. No smiles, nothing. The very pleasant Asian lady who was working with him was much more friendlier. Room is very small. 6'2" partner was not comfortable as his feet were hanging off the bed.

    Superb

Location, price and clean, friendly staff

Wish there would be a gym there to work out in.

There is nothing that I liked about the Howard Johnson Hotel Vancouver

I did not like the employees. They were very unprofessional, did not know how to talk with customers. Very rude, Also not professional to have someone working at your front desk that has a black eye, a shirt that looks like it has been worn for a week and wears no name tag. Both the man and woman working the front desk on September 1st 2012, were unable to help us with what we requested. The man was very rude to us and the woman thought it was all a joke. I would never ever stay at the Howard Johnson Hotel Vancouver.

    Superb

Cleanness and friendly stuff. Location is fantastic! From here is possible to walk through whole Vancouver Downtown.

Its not the most cheap hotel and do not expect a "Four Season" (even for the price you pay, but location is great and is very clean (which for me is very important)

    Exceptional

The location of this hotel was superb. It was clean and well maintained and the staff were excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Vancouver downtown area if location and budget are the priority.

The smell in the hallway from cleaner or ? was too strong.

    Very good

This hotel is ideally located, though if you are a light sleeper, you need a room at the back of the hotel at weekends as Granville Street is very popular with revellers. The hotel has 'past times' feel about it, this is a nice change from the character-less modern establishments. The staff are wonderful. The rooms are reasonable, with comfortable beds. Wi-Fi had a good connection in the rooms.

    Good

The location (except noisy) and the price.

The room was small but clean. The bathroom had a pedestal sink with no counter and was small. The room smelled of smoke very badly. The area is central but very noisy as it is right on Granville Street. Heated by air conditioner unit in window, so loud fan running.

    Very good

Good location, easy to go anywhere. Nice staff. Clean room.

The air conditioner works not well enough, it is a little bit difficult to adjust the room temperature steady. Deserve the price.

    Exceptional

I have been staying there since it opened and it is better than any hotel I have ever stayed at. Very quiet and clean.

    Very good

Good budget hotel centrally located, clean rooms and relatively comfortable beds. Staff were overall helpful. It was great having access to the laundry on site for $1.50 a load made it so much easier for us than having to find a laundry elsewhere.

The pillows were quite old and so the synthetic material inside had clumped into balls. The hotel was quite noisy in that you could hear noises on the street and also showers, toilets being flushed in other rooms and also could hear talking in hallway and next door rooms very clearly. Given it only cost cad$50 to stay a night we felt that we still got great value for money and would stay there again.

    Superb

Great location, friendly staff, great deal.

Staff was not up to date on things, such as museum closures.

    Very good

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Hojo in Vancouver. It was reasonably priced for us broke college students, it was in a fairly safe part of town and comfortable as well as within walking distance of everything we wanted to do while I'm Canada. I would recommend staying here if on a budget.

There was nothing I was really displeased with. I didn't like somethings but the room we stayed in was very cheap so I can't complain. I guess they didn't have as many tv channels as some people might like but I thought it was reasonable.
